This Group starts on Sep 02 and finishes on May 05 2026 

The theme for September 2025 to May 2026 will be 'popular poets from around the world'.

We usually learn about two different poets at each monthly meeting. We start with the biography of the first poet, and then each member reads aloud one of the poems from a list chosen beforehand. We discuss and analyse the style, subject and meaning of each poem. After a 5-minute break, we continue with the second poet and their poems. Poets to be studied each year are chosen by the members and a programme for the year is drawn up by me.
