Musical Mileposts will focus on defining classical works, (e.g. Chopin's piano music; Beethoven's Eroica Symphony, Stravinsky's Rite of Spring). I aim to show why these pieces are so significant, but I won't be covering opera as I just don't know much about it! The sessions will be comprehensively illustrated with videos, audio extracts and powerpoint slides. No musical knowledge is required - the sessions are aimed at a general audience.
